Yes, digital X-rays are safe. Even though both standard and digital X-rays are considered safe, digital X-rays produce 80% less radiation as compared to standard/ film X-rays, making it a much safer option.

No special preparation is required. However, you may be required to remove jewellery, glasses or any metal objects such as keys.
